No. Mama's House is a free program, made possible entirely by donor generosity. Housing, counseling, classes, and support are all completely free to residents. There is no cost to you.

No, we are not an emergency shelter. We are a program specifically to assist pregnant women in crisis to reshape their situations while living with support and security.

Each resident works closely with their Case Coordinator to create a plan for her future, and the future of her baby. She will be connected to a volunteer Mentor in anticipation of her graduation from the program. All residents are given concrete tasks based on individual needs and goals, and can stay through their pregnancy and for three months after their baby is born.

Each resident works toward her goals in her own way. With priorities ranging from health and wellness to education, parenting classes, college courses, skill certifications, and housing searches, our residents stay busy building the foundation for a stronger future. They also connect with mentors who provide support tailored to their individual needs. By evening, the home comes alive with shared meals and meaningful conversation, where residents encourage one another, celebrate progress, and work through challenges together.

During the first phase of the program, we temporarily limit device use so residents can focus fully on their recovery and growth. Each woman is responsible for coordinating with care providers and outside resources and for managing her own appointment schedule, with our team helping her learn and use the tools she needs. To keep the Home safe and secure, residents follow a curfew and guidelines for guest access. Additional privileges, such as overnight passes, are earned over time as residents demonstrate consistency and commitment to the program.

Pregnant women who already live in the United States may qualify for the program at any stage of pregnancy. Each person is reviewed individually. Prospective residents meet by phone with our Intake team and to share any additional questions they may have.

The Home maintains a drug- and alcohol-free environment. Residents with a history of substance use are connected with appropriate sobriety support, and all residents are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Women see a therapist once a week and wrap group is done once a week and for the first 30 days of aftercare.

Women are welcome to join us at any point during pregnancy, and recent moms in postpartum after their baby is born. The usual time span for residents living at Mama’s House is 12-18 months or until they find stable housing.

Yes, pregnant women who are also caring for children 3 years or younger are welcome.

We can house up to 36 women, we house women that are pregant or recently pregant and have children here under 3 years old.

Yes we offer a after care program for up to 3 months

We are primarily funded through private donations, fundraising events, grants, and community partnerships.
